Who is Avenir Energy?
Avenir Energy is a newly formed Canadian company, that has entered into an agreement with Parkland Corporation to acquire their propane operations. This includes customers, trucks, tanks and employees such as drivers, technicians, sales and office staff.
Do I need to cancel my account with Parkland and open a new account with Avenir?
No, your propane account will be transferred over to Avenir Energy automatically as part of the acquisition, including delivery information, pricing, equipment and service agreements. The only change you will need to make, is who you submit your payments to, and information will be provided on how to do so.
Will my fixed pricing stay in place with Avenir Energy?
Yes, any pricing agreements will be included as part of your account transfer.
I’m on a budget payment plan with Parkland. Will there be any changes with Avenir?
Your budget plan will be transferred over to Avenir Energy. However, if your current plan includes both furnace oil and propane, you will have budget plans with both Avenir Energy and Parkland. The payment amounts will be adjusted based on your projected consumption for both products.
I have both furnace oil and propane with Parkland. What will happen to my oil account?
Your furnace oil account will remain with Parkland along with its delivery information, pricing, equipment and service agreements.
When will my account be transferred over to Avenir Energy?
We anticipate the transition to occur in early October 2024.
Will there be any changes in service with Avenir Energy?
You will receive the same great service and offers with Avenir Energy that you’ve come to expect with Parkland. Your local branch will still be your key contact point for all matters related to your account, delivery and service.
Is there going to be a name change? Do I need a new tank?
In time, there will be a rebrand to Avenir Energy, which will include customer tanks. You will be notified of the rebranding of your tanks and rest assured there will be minimum disruption to you.
How will I get in contact with Avenir Energy?
If there are any changes to the contact numbers that you’re currently using to reach us, we will communicate those changes right away. There will also be a customer portal available through our website for you to contact us as well.
Will my local branch still be the branch I interact with?
Yes, your local branch will still be your key contact point for all matters related to your account, delivery and service.
Will I have to change my payment details?
Yes, you will have to make changes to whom to remit payments to and we will be sure to provide clear instructions on how to make this change.
Will I still have access to my tank monitor readings?
Yes, you will absolutely still have access to your tank monitor.
